Friends For Life Layout

Hey Everyone!

Today I am sharing a layout I made for my youngest daughters scrapbook album. When we first brought her home, my oldest daughter wasnt to excited about her new baby sister! She quickly warmed up to her though and now I can leave the room to grab a bottle without worries that she'll bother her. She loves kissing her and I have tons of pictures to include in their albums!

For the most part I prefer to scrapbook chronologically. In this photo, Ellena (my youngest) was a newborn.

The papers are from a Recollection pack ( I cant remember the name) and all of the cuts are from the Silhouette store.

I like how this layout turned out! I have finally figured out the best way to photograph 12x12 layouts, so now I just need to work on adjusting the brightness :).

Important Dates Sign

Hey Everyone!

Wow, two posts in one week? Must be summer ;). Today I am back to share with you an important dates sign I designed in Photoshop. This is not my original idea. I have seen them floating around Pinterest and now that I have Photoshop I figured I could make my own.

I've been a member of Pinterest for about a year and my home sure is appreciating it lol.

Here are some inspiration pieces I looked at before I started on my own:

My piece seems to be a mixture of both. Our living room colors are gray and currently accented with light blue so this matches perfectly.

The frame is one I purchased at Target and I kept the dates simple by just using our birthdays. The entire thing is designed in Photoshop including the flourishes. I love how it turned out, even though it printed kind of crooked ;).

Here is a look at the mantle it is sitting on:
I will probably move it around as decor changes but I love it :)

Birth Announcement Layout

Hey Everyone!

Today I am sharing with you a layout I made for my youngest daughter's scrapbook. Im kind of feeling guilty that I have none of her yet for her book so I thought I'd start ;).

All of my cuts including the title were purchased through the Silhouette store.

Sorry about the quality. It's a cloudy day and I cant find my lamp I use to spotlight :).

I have a Pinterest inspired project to share with you all. Im hoping to get around to posting it before the end of the week.

Family Rules Using the Silhouette

Hey everyone!

Today I am sharing with you the newest addition to our walls. I've been wanting to make a list of Family Rules out of vinyl for awhile now. Well, we finally decided on a wall color and painted them over the weekend. Which means I can now start to decorate!

All of the vinyl I bought from Expressions Vinyl and I used my Silhouette Cameo to lay out and design the words. The font is off of my computer called "Digs My Heart," a free download from kevinandamanda.com.

I was debating the color choices for the rules. I thought about doing all white but I didnt want to be limited to only that color. So, although it took a lot longer I decided to make it colorful. I think the colors look better against the gray walls than just simple white! Also, now I can use any color for future vinyl art.

This mantle has been changed up several times. Since we're pretty much on a holiday break, I kept it simple with pictures of my girls as newborns, and pictures of them more recent. The art in the frame on the left is from Katy Daisy (amazingly bright and pretty!) and the art next to that my oldest daughter painted :).

Here is a close up of the rules:
Don't pay attention to the pencil lines, I havent wiped them off yet ;). I like how the placement gives me the option of adding more as the girls get older.

Just in case the rules arent clear enough I used the following:
Never lie, dream big, be respectful, pray, no whining, no teasing, chew-swallow-speak, sing, laugh, dance, forgive and forget, hold your head high, laugh out loud, pick up after yourself, share, listen, love, know you are loved, keep your promises.

What have you guys been up too?

12x12 Easter Layout

Hey everyone!

I have been doing very little crafting lately but today I was able to finish this Easter layout I started weeks ago. It is of my oldest daughter, and the pictures were taken last year, her first Easter! It's kind of funny that almost exactly one year ago we celebrated her first and this year we are celebrating her sister's first. Crazy!

I used my Silhouette Cameo for this layout. I havent touched my Cricut in months! All of the files can be found in the Silhouette store, I will add the names to the end of this post. The papers are a mixture of what I have in my stash.

I think this layout came out super cute!

Updates and an "Aww" moment!

Hey Everyone!

I know it's been awhile, but I have a great reason. I had my baby girl on January 30th! She arrived two weeks early. I knew I wasnt going to make it to my due date (2/13) and Im so glad I was right!

Ellena Maria.1/30/12.7lbs 7oz.7:07am
She is absolutely precious but is very spoiled. It's my fault, I got her used to picking her up once she starts crying. My excuse? I'd rather pick her up right away to keep her from crying than to have her wake her big sister up at 2am. LOL. Her big sis would NOT go back to sleep ;).

I dont have a project to share but I did want to share this screen shot:

How awesome is that? I was browsing Pinterest for scrapbooking layouts and I found mine! Not only has something of mine been pinned but, it's been pinned 21 times! I know for some that's not as exciting but I never expected my projects to get pinned let alone RE-pinned. Im a pretty simple scrapbooker so It was really special for me to see that.

If you would like to follow me on Pinterst, just click here.

Also, I finally bought a DSLR camera, the Nikon D3100. This means better pictures are coming to the blog. Hooray! LOL.

I am working on an Easter layout for my daughter (she was 10 months, she'll be 2 in May lol) so I will share that once Im done.

Feel Better 4x4 Card

Hey Everyone!

I wanted to share with you a card I made and and a box to match for my bff's daughter. She recently had surgery (not major!) and we went to visit her later that night.

I used my Cameo for this project and love how quickly it all came together.

My friends daughter is not girly so it was nice to use up some of my blue's and green's. I cant remember where the patterned paper is from but I believe it's by Recollections.

For the card I used the file happy_donut_C01260_20508 and it is one of my favorites! So super cute. I added a Peachy Keen Face to him (I forgot to white his eyes lol) and stickled the sprinkles. For the sentiment I used a stamp from Scrappy Mom's. I added some green twine and a button from Papertrey Ink. I love the way it turned out!

For the box, I used a file created by Lori Whitlock called bracket_flap_box_C01247_20509. I love this box! I didnt even have to score any lines I just folded and glued and voila. So easy. Love that it is so easy with the Cameo! I punched two holes in the front and added twine to close it shut. The sentiment is from Pink By Design and we filled the box with Mexican chocolate. Something she has been asking for!
