Hey Everyone!
I want to welcome all of my new followers and invite you all to fan me on Facebook. Just search for My Scrappin Obsession and I should pop up. I try to post pictures there before it goes live on my blog. Thank you for finding my projects interesting enough to follow. :)
I am going to try and post every day this week. It's design team week for Crafting With Cristina and Flaunt It Friday's so make sure you set time aside to participate.
Today I am sharing a project I created for my daughter's first birthday. It is quickly approaching (May 5th) and I am a plan ahead kind of person. It drives my fiance nuts but he has to accept me and all of my "flaws" :).
I created this tutu using the tutorial from Lauren's Creative. It's the second tutu I've ever made, the first time I made this was for my daughter's Christmas pictures. It's really easy and all I did was use one strip of elastic to fit around the high chair. I added the tulle leaving an empty space in the back where I will use velcro to attach it to the tray of the chair. Simple and cute!
In case you didn't know, since my daughter's birthday is on Cinco De Mayo (May 5th) we are doing a toned down fiesta! The colors are pink orange and yellow and the accents are fringe. It is really hard planning a unique party which is another reason why I do things ahead of time. :) I will have more projects in the coming weeks.
With her "one" onesie she is going to look adorable getting this full of cake and icing!
Thank you so much for visiting. :)

ReplyDeleteHi! I just made a high chair tutu for my daughter's birthday, but I am having a really hard time getting it to stay on the high chair. You said you were going to use velcro? Could you help me by telling me exactly what you did to make it stay put? Thank you!!
