Hey Everyone!
It's been awhile since I have last posted and the funny thing is, I have a few projects to share! I guess I have been too lazy to upload them :).
I have been wanting to make my daughter a onesie for awhile now and weeks after the vinyl arrived, I got to playing! I absolutely LOVE Baby Gap so I was browsing their website one day when I saw this shirt:
Hello adorable! I knew I could re-create this with my loyal bug so I continued on without purchasing it. This shirt is currently not available anymore (it's been that long lol) but fortunately, Pinterest came along and I was able to pin this to my board for reference.
--Off topic-- For those that don't know what Pinterest is, it's a site where you can pretty much have a visual favorites folder. You can personalize your boards and as you find inspiration on the web (from crafting to cooking, anything!) or something you want to remember, you can "pin" it and it'll be saved. It is highly addictive though. :). If you are interested it is free to sign up but I can invite you to avoid the long waitlist. It's invite only!
Anyway, back to the project. Since I knew I could make this, I set out to find my supplies. I found my vinyl at Expressions Vinyl and Craft Vinyl. The glittered and zebra print vinyl are from Craft Vinyl. I like both of these companies. Expressions will have the option to get 12x24 (the biggest) heat transfer vinyl but they don't offer prints. Craft Vinyl offers 9x12 (the biggest) which is ok, but I like to order 12x24 so I don't feel like I run out as quickly!
Here is my daughter's new onesie:
I like my version way better! This was cheaper as well hehe. My only beef with heat vinyl is that the layering isnt perfect. For some reason the top sunglasses wouldnt line up at all without white peekng underneath. The same for the bottom set. I was ok with a little white peaking at the tops, so I didnt let it bother me too much. Also, the "fabulous" wouldnt layer onto the white perfectly so the "s" is almost flush at the end. A little minor mishaps but I still saved money and it will get dirty anyway. ;).
I hope you enjoyed my project!
P.S. The onesie isnt that crooked in real life!
